Poonam’s last exhibition which was also her first was a huge success. The theme of this exhibition is ‘LOVE’ - the source that connects each and every one of us. Poonam believes that love is a universal energy that holds all beings together. It is deep, impersonal love that connects and binds us all. Poonam has always been inspired by nature and the Divine. “I have always been awestruck by the strength of the mountains, the trees which give so readily of themselves to everything around, displaying their impersonal love”, says Poonam. She is most moved by the love that the Divine has for us; the love we feel when all our mistakes and shortcomings are forgiven. Poonam’s favourite painting is called - Love, a celebration of life and death. “Just as life comes from love, so does death. They are two sides of the same coin that we will all go through some day. As we are in life, so in death…this reality is very dear to me”, states Poonam about it.
‘And it is LOVE!’ this series of 24 paintings, has been created using mostly acrylic paints with ink and brush in just a couple of them with acid free paper on the canvas.

The sweet fragrance of flowers,
And the warm embrace of the trees,
The mystical secrets of water
where I am held in eternity's gaze,
A lover's passion with the promise of purity
The beauty of the spirit of mankind,
And it is love!
